Hi! I am Tina Brothers and I teach 4th grade. This is my ninth year teaching at Jim Darcy School. Some of you will remember me as the kindergarten teacher. I taught kindergarten for 6 years and then I moved to 4th grade. My husband, Todd, is an engineer and works for the Corps. of Engineers. We have two sons, Dylan and Hayden. Dylan just started his first year at MSU and Hayden is starting his first year at Capital High School. As a family, we love to camp, hike and bike. I hope you learn to love math and science as much as I do!
At times the 10 problems that 4th graders have for math homework can be confusing or frustrating. Remember the goal is to try to do the problem. It is ok to ask for help AFTER you have tried to do the problem yourself. Always remember – if it is a new concept it is a freebie and google is your friend!
