Topping Out Ceremony!

Jim Darcy Community,

Jim Darcy School  will be having a “Topping Out Ceremony” on October 11th at 10:00 AM.

This will be an event for all parents, community members, and students to attend!  It is a time honored event to set one of the final beams on the project.   In building construction, topping out (sometimes referred to as topping off) is a builders’ rite traditionally held when the last beam (or its equivalent) is placed atop a structure during its construction.

All adults will be welcome to come and sign the beam prior to the event!  We will have it set up in the faculty parking lot a few days prior.  More detailed information to come.

In the spring students will all be signing the concrete floor of the gym prior to the finished floor going down.

Please come join us and stand with your student on this remarkable day!
